- Life experience
- Informal training
- Professional development
Your existing skills and experience will be assessed against the requirements of the qualification or individual units of competency.
If you can demonstrate that you already meet the required competency standards, you may be granted RPL. Where gaps are identified, you may be required to complete additional training and/or assessment to achieve competency.
If RPL is granted for specific units, you will not be required to complete formal training and assessment for those units.
RPL may reduce the amount of training required and, where applicable, may result in a reduction of course fees.
Credit Transfer
ACTS provides Credit Transfer for units of competency or modules that have been previously completed, unless licensing or regulatory requirements prevent this.
Credit Transfer will be granted where supported by:
- AQF certification documentation issued by another RTO or authorised issuing organisation; or
- An authenticated VET transcript issued by the USI Registrar
Eligibility for Credit Transfer is determined by mapping previously completed units against the units within your chosen qualification. Where an equivalent unit is identified, Credit Transfer will be applied and you will not be required to complete that unit again.
There is no fee for applying for Credit Transfer. Approved Credit Transfers will result in a reduction of course fees, where applicable.
